Endangered African Penguins on Display at Maritime Aquarium

The encore exhibit is open through April 21.

Moby, Devon, Doobie and Sinbad are some of Norwalk's newest residents.

The four African penguins have been housed at the Maritime Aquarium since February, and are scheduled to remain there until April 21.

According to the aquarium's website, the African penguin is listed as an endangered species.

Visitors can see the penguins with regular admission to the aquarium, but on Saturdays and Sundays, they can see behind-the-scenes penguin programs, where they can enter an enclosed area with the penguins (but not touch them) during feeding time for an extra $25. Those programs are held at 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

The penguins are on loan from the LEO Zoological Conservation Center in Greenwich.
