Does the Greenwich Mountain Lion Live on in Fact or Only in Legend? [Update]

Weeks after a mountain lion was killed in Milford, residents of the gated Chieftains subdivision in Greenwich, not far from the orginal sightings, think they've seen the big cat again.

Update: 5:10 p.m.:

Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray has issued the following statement concerning the report a mountain lion has been spotted off King Street.

"I have NO RECORD of any additional Cougar sighting being reported to the Greenwich Police Department since BEFORE the DEEP released their findings."

Well, the management company for the gated northwest Greenwich community The Chieftans thinks so, according to this story in the Greenwich Time.

Despite state environmental officials confirmation that the on the Wilbur Cross Parkway in early July was indeed the one stalking backcountry Greenwich, and their continued affirmation that mountain lions are extinct in these parts, the company has sent an alert to residents, according to CBS New York.
