Ted Harrington, Executive Partner at Independent Security Evaluators drives thought leadership initiatives for ISE, the Baltimore-based cyber-threat mitigation and solutions entity widely recognized for its groundbreaking research and enterprise consulting practice. Harrington holds a bachelors degree in Psychology from Georgetown University, which he applies to drive ISE’s proprietary threat modeling.  Where many security experts are satisfied with understanding the attack, Harrington advocates progressive modeling by understanding the attacker.  A strong grasp of the adversarial methodology determines the most effective security mitigations.

On Wednesday, December 11 at 9:30am, Harrington will deliver his session, titled “The Evolving Threat Landscape: Emerging Security Trends.” The presentation will analyze trends in defending against modern attackers, provide industry context, and outline best practices.

”To defend against an attacker, you must think like him,” says Harrington about ISE’s proprietary threat modeling, which the firm utilizes to help enterprises harden systems against hackers and other malicious adversaries.

“The issue of security continues to be something that is glossed over, rather than parsed into the elements where vulnerability can be exploited,” said Carl Ford, CEO, Crossfire Media, executive director of content, DevCon5. “We look forward to Ted Harrington's insight into how to properly develop for  the changing dynamics of the web.”
