Area Woman Is the New Face of Estée Lauder

Greenwich resident and supermodel Stephanie Seymour will be the representative of a new cosmetics ad campaign.


The spotlight on supermodel Stephanie Seymour is shining brighter as the Greenwich resident has been tapped as the new global representative for the cosmetics empire Estee Lauder.

The company made the announcement via Twitter and included a black-and-white photo of the model who's married to media magnate and art collector extraordinaire Peter Brant. "Thrilled to announce that Stephanie Seymour has signed on as our latest global spokesmodel!," the company posted.

Last May, the couple hosted Britain's Prince Harry in a polo match at Brant's Greenwich Polo Club at Conyers Farm that was a benefit for Sentebale. a charity for children of Lesotho that was founded by that country's Prince Seeiso and Prince Harry. 

According to Huffington Post, Seymour will appear in ads for a new Estée Lauder campaign that's to be launched next fall.

In a statement, the company said, "Stephanie represents modern women today in such a beautifully articulated way and she represents modern beauty and luxury to us. This campaign will speak to the beautiful complexity that makes her who she is."

And for Seymour, a 45-year-old mother of four, her reaction to the new gig, "I am honored to be part of the Estée Lauder family.” According to People Magazine, Seymour said in a statement, “As a young girl my mother had a dream for me and that was to be an Estée Lauder model! So this is truly a dream fulfilled.”

Seymour has appeared on the covers of Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and has been the face for the fashion houses Versace, Marc Jacobs and Chanel.
