Norwalk's Paul Palermo is New Exec. Director at Maplewood at Strawberry Hill

Maplewood Senior Living has appointed Paul Palermo as Executive Director at Maplewood at Strawberry Hill, an assisted living and memory care community located at 73 Strawberry Hill Avenue in East Norwalk.

Palermo is a native of Norwalk and has long and well established ties to the Greater Norwalk community both professionally and personally. 

He has served as an Executive Director of Norwalk Senior Center and Meals on Wheels since 2007. Palermo’s career spans as a member of South Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council, Catholic Charities Senior Nutrition Program Advisory Council, and the Directors for the Norwalk YMCA. 

Additionally, Paul is a founding member of the Norwalk Board of Education School to Work Program and a member of the Board of Trustees for Gibbs College, as well as president of the Board of Directors for the Norwalk Senior Center. He lives in Norwalk with his wife, Paula.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill – comprised of 84 residences – provides specialized care for its residents with a combination of assisted living and memory care programs including 24/7 on-site nursing and farm-to-table cuisine. It opened its doors last Nov., 2012.
