Roger Sherman Inn's Tour de France Celebrates Provence

The Roger Sherman Inn’s summer wine and culinary series will salute Provence on Sunday, July 1st.  After its recent evening showcasing French Moroccan cuisine paired with Rhone wines, the RS Tour de France travels to the distinctive, Mediterranean-influenced region of Provence.  The night will feature a Provencal menu served as family-styled, farm table feast, accented with characteristic rose, red and white wines.

The RS Tour de France series runs through the end of September and takes place on the Inn’s popular porch, delivering a perfect al fresco setting to enjoy the summer months. Jeff Barbour, owner of The New Canaan Wine Merchants, is selecting the wines while serving as a wine resource at the events for those interested in learning more about the regions’ wine.

As Nes Jaffre reported: “ Our summer series started out with so much fun on our fabulous porch with Moroccan cuisine and lots of Rhone wine, we can’t wait for the next one.  Best yet, our guests were trilled to take part in our culinary adventure.  We are really excited about the Provencal dinner… the family-styled dinner will make this upcoming evening really social… besides delectable. We hope to see you there.”
