Meet Ruby! She is a stunning 3 yr old female Pit Bull mix, who weighs 63 lbs, and is looking for her best friend!
Ruby was living on a chain in Bridgeport in deplorable conditions last winter, but is now safe and indoors and getting lots of love while she waits for her forever home.
As you can see in the before photos, Ruby was truly existing in squalor. Her eyes say it all—a life filled with pain, spent in filth. Her spirit seemed broken, but true to the nature of a Pit Bull, she has forgiven those who mistreated her and is simply thankful it's all over.
Ruby's face is covered in scars, and she appears to have been bred multiple times. Despite her rough past, Ruby is one of the sweetest girls you could hope to meet!
Forgiving and loving, Ruby is happiest when she is in your lap. She loves to have her belly rubbed, and is OH so tolerant of everything. She is happy-go-lucky and loves to make new doggie friends as well.
Ruby's nickname is our little "Kung Foo Fighter" since when she plays with other dogs, she flies in the air! We love Ruby and we know if you give her a chance, you will too! Her friend Orion has been adopted and now it's her turn at happily ever after.
