Tuesday afternoon was beautiful in New York and I was enjoying doing makeup on 7th Avenue at the Magaschoni showroom for L'OREAL Paris.
A showroom adorned by celebrities, the who's who in New York and Connecticut, and a store that OPRAH calls one of her favorite places. What a perfect place to spend my day surrounding myself with beautifully soft colored cashmere. While the ladies were shopping, I was hired to do makeup. I decided to help the women with their spring makeup palette for this season to match the bright yellows, lime greens, fresh whites, fuchsia pinks, and tangy oranges clothing.
One of the many shoppers was the gorgeous actress Kelly Rutherford from TV's "Melrose Place" and "Gossip Girl." Kelly is an actress I grew up watching on television, so I was honored to have her sit in my chair. She has such delicate features that I didn't want to overdue her makeup with lots of products and steps. I decided to keep her makeup fresh and youthful so I selected shades of pinks for her lips and cheeks. And on her eyes, I selected shimmers to highlight her face.
