State Senate Unanimously Approves Phony Autism Therapist Bill

The legislature responds again to the Stacey Lore phony autism theraptist scandal that rocked Norwalk and other communities. The bi-partisan bill unanimously passed the state Senate today.

Today, the state Senate unanimously passed a bill that would close . While this is in response to the Stacey Lore scandal that was brought forward by Norwalk school parents, the legislation sends a strong message to others that the long arm of the law will catch up with them if they prey on our children. Stacey Lore is safely behind bars for a while, but her punishment is a lot less than it would have been if this law was in place before.

The parents of the affected students deserve a lot of the credit for helping us by testifying at the public hearing and being so strong to make the necessary changes. Kudos also to the Norwalk Police Department, particularly Detective David Orr who brought this case to justice.

Here is a link to some additional information. On to the House of Representatives, where Rep. Larry Cafero is a co-introducer, and then to the governor's desk.
