Go Ahead, Go to the Beach!

Free admission at state parks.

For most of us in Connecticut, it's an understatement to say this has been a long week. Whether you are someone who hasn't had electricity in days, a first responder going from one call to another or someone helping your neighbors cope, we could all use a little break.

Thanks to an order from Governor Malloy, you can get into state beaches and parks over the Labor Day weekend for free. It's a good way to leave this week behind us, relax in the sun and enjoy the unofficial end of summer.

If you are one of the unfortunate ones who still doesn't have power yet, this opportunity could be a welcomed respite, even if it's just a few hours, from all of the stress.

Go ahead, enjoy. Connecticut has beautiful natural resources. Take some time and recharge your batteries. Tuesday will come fast enough.
