SoNo Train Station Public Art Opening

The official opening of Art in Parking Places permanent public art installations in the South Norwalk train station will be celebrated with local, regional and state officials in attendance.

In the tunnel connecting the east and westbound sides of the station is “Silhouetted Faces and Period Pieces,” an exhibit of silhouetted figures that reflect the history of South Norwalk through fashion.  In the eastbound lobby of the station a series of sculptures have been installed that represent sites of Norwalk past and present such as an oyster boat, trains and a lighthouse.

The event will be held in the New Haven bound waiting area of the station. The installations are sponsored by the Norwalk Parking Authority and the Norwalk Transit District.
