Vote For Clark Kent in the "Fuzzy Nation" Contest

Vote for Clark Kent in the "Fuzzy Nation" contest and maybe PPR could win enough to rescue a lot more dogs and cats.

Project Precious Rescue (PPR)'s Kayte Zowine was the subject of a Patch feature in February entitled Life After Dogfighting, which told the tale of Baloo and Potter, scarred dogs rescued from fighting.

Though dogfighting is cruel, the story gave hope and Zowine found wonderful permanent homes for both dogs.

In August PPR celebrated its 100th adoption in less than a year. They place a wide variety of dogs and cats. Right now PPR's website of adoptable pets includes chihuahuas, poodles, a dachshund, pit bull terrier mixes and several cats.

Vote for Clark Kent: Finalist in the Fuzzy Nation Super Model contest!
Zowine asked for Patch's help getting out the vote for their "Clark Kent" who was chosen from thousands of entries as a finalist in the Fuzzy Nation Super Model contest. I followed the link  and voted. It really was easy.

Zowine said Clark came to PPR a few months ago as a tiny puppy who had "fallen" from a window and was dumped at the vet with two broken front legs.

Clark's owner refused to authorize treatment, refused to authorize euthanasia, and refused to sign him over, according to Zowine. For 48 hours Clark suffered in limbo while we begged the owner to let PPR help him.

Thankfully she finally did, and through fundraising and lots of care, Clark Kent got surgery to save his little legs and has been a truly inspirational story.
