Progressive Norwalk Boat Show [PHOTO GALLERY]

On Saturday, Patch shared  highlights of the Progressive Norwalk Boat Show, including visits with the show manager Jon Pritko and Deadliest Catch's Johnathan Hillstrand.

Here is a full gallery of photos, which was made possible by Ken Shastri of Sound Sailing Centerwho offered a peaceful ride in one of the center's keelboats, affording a unique perspective on the size and diversity of boats at the show.

According to Shastri, members of Sound Sailing Center, which is located in Norwalk Cove Marina, have access to a variety of boats and the chance to participate in regattas and excursions to places like Newport and Block Island.

"People think you have to buy your boat, but you don't have to do that," Shastri said, explaining the advantages of membership. "There's no other program that gives you experience of yacht or big boat experience. "

As Shastri hosted a brief tour of the marina and Norwalk Harbor, a range of vessels from big fishing boats to pontoons to kayaks paraded by.

Anyone who missed the Progressive Norwalk Boat Show can look forward to the 39th annual show next September.
