Need An Excuse to Get a Tattoo?

This Weekend, on Patch's "It's Gone to the Dogs, there are tattoos in Norwalk to benefit Bully Breed Rescue, an update on the Legislative Task Force for humane sourcing at pet stores, pet photo ops in NewRo, and more.

Pitties-N-Ink

On Saturday Nov. 9 from 11:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. Bully Breed Rescue has a great reason to get that tattoo you've always wanted.

BBR's event, Pitties N Ink is a fundraiser for their rescue organization with 80% of proceeds going directly  to Bully Breed Rescue, Inc.

In addition to custom tattoos there will be Bully Breed merchandise, shop gear and a special Bully tattoo!

Pet Store Task Force

Over 200 readers "Liked" our coverage of the first Legislative Task force hearing last month on possible legislation requiring CT pet shops to humanely source cats and dogs only from rescues and pounds.

For readers following the work of the Task Force, the hearing that was scheduled for November 13, has been postponed to December 4. It will be held at 1:00p.m. in Legislative Office Building in Hartford, Room 2A. 

Hearing rules: If you would like to testify in person, please come at noon to sign up to speak. Sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The first hour will be reserved for any legislators or chief elected officials who wish to testify. Speakers at the hearing will be limited to three minutes of spoken testimony, after which, the members of the Task Force will have the option to ask questions.
Written testimony will be accepted, preferably e-mailed no later than the day before the hearing to CTPS@cga.ct.gov. Testimony will be accepted at the time of speaker sign-ups, however if not submitting electronically, a speaker must bring fifteen copies for the Task Force.
