'Fast-Paced' Event April 29 on Saving Money on Energy

The forum at 7 p.m., April 29 (a Tuesday) is about all the ways that citizens can save big bucks on energy and live more comfortably without throwing money out the window.

Residents, mark your calendars and find out how you can save big on energy and water bills!

The Mayor's Energy and Environment Task Force is sponsoring a fast-paced forum on Tuesday, April 29 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Community Room to educate the public about all the ways that citizens can save big bucks on energy and live more comfortably without drafts and literally throwing money out the window.

Handouts, light refreshments and door prizes!

The event will list the many state and federal programs that help residents understand how to reduce utility bills while increasing the value and comfort of your home. Guest experts include:

  • Sagewell, Inc. will unveil their free offer showing homeowners through an innovative thermal imaging program where heat is leaking through throughout the house!
  • Certified home energy assessment companies Next Step Living and New England Smart Energy will be on hand to explain all the benefits of a home energy assessment.
  • CEFIA  will review financing options and the Taxing Districts will mention their unique programs.

The Mayor's Energy and Environment Task Force will be creating an educational series for our residential, commercial and municipal target markets throughout the year.

These events will assist in highlighting the many economic opportunities that exist for green job creation, reducing utility costs, and increasing the owners' value of energy efficient buildings.  Our first major event is April 29 at 7 p.m.
