The Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) announces the selection of three new exhibiting members, who were juried in on January 17, 2014, from14 applicants. From left, they are Anne Salthouse (Norwalk), Julliette Tehrani (Stamford) and Pilar Garra (New Canaan).
To become an exhibiting member, artists submit three works to be reviewed by the Artist Selection Committee, which meets three times a year – January, May and September. Artists who are selected for three of the four RAC juried exhibits within a two-year period also are eligible for exhibiting member status.
Rowayton Arts Center is open from 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday (closed Sunday through March and Monday). Gallery admission is free. For information, visit www.rowaytonartscenter.org or call 203-866-2744.
For more than 50 years the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) has been a community cultural hub that provides a welcoming environment for regional artists to exhibit and sell their work, exchange arts-related ideas, exhibit and participate in classes and workshops for creative people of all ages and at all levels. Located at 145 Rowayton Avenue on the scenic banks of the Five Mile River, admission to the RAC Gallery is free.
