Local Students and Teachers to be Recognized by the Norwalk-Village Green Chapter DAR

The Norwalk-Village Green Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will hold their March meeting this Saturday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m. at the Norwalk Town House at Mill Hill Historic Park at 2 East Wall Street. 

 

Members and invited guests will gather for special awards presentations to recognize local students and teachers.  Two high school seniors, Nicole Lue from Brien McMahon High School and Bridget McCullum from Norwalk High School, will be presented with the DAR Good Citizen Award.  Local middle school students will be presented with awards for their entries to the DAR American History Essay contest.  The Norwalk-Village Green Chapter will also be recognizing Mr. Dean Vaccaro and Mr. Robert Pennington, the recipients of the Norwalk outstanding teachers of American History Award.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support better education for our nation's children.
