Girls just can’t wait to be Girl Scouts!
But they need your help to join a troop, experience a life-changing event or series of activities, or visit exciting places around New England. If you’re looking for a way to give back to your community, there’s no better way than to get involved in Girl Scouting.
Many girls in grades K-12 are eager to join Girl Scouts of Connecticut and are ready to meet new volunteers to take them through exciting adventures! Caring adult volunteers are needed to make Girl Scouting possible for all girls. Volunteering can be tailored to your skill set, such as engineering, financial matters, cooking, etc., and to as much time as you are able to give. A month, a day, an hour – any time can make a difference in a young girl’s life! It only takes a little time to do a lot of good.
To volunteer, you must be at least 18 years of age or older, be a positive role model, have a flexible attitude and sense of humor, and you must become a member of Girl Scouts for only $15 per year. Support and guidance for all adult volunteers is provided by Girl Scouts of Connecticut. Girl Scout Council staff and experienced volunteers provide accessible, practical courses that make every volunteer’s time and efforts more efficient and successful. In addition, instruction methods are tailored towards specific volunteers’ needs. Being a volunteer opens up exciting training opportunities including limited online and self-study courses.
