Norwalk is holding its 8th annual rabies clinic for dogs and cats this Sunday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to noon. The clinic is open to both residents and non-residents of the city.
Rabies shots are $20 and can only be paid for in cash.
Norwalk residents can also purchase 2012-13 dog licenses. All dog's in Norwalk must be licensed with the city. Owners of unlicensed dogs can be fined $75.
The cost of dog licenses is $8 for neutered/spayed dogs and $19 for dogs not neutered or spayed.
Dogs must be kept on a leash. Cats must be in a carrier.
The clinic is being held at the city's Animal Control Division office, 13 South Smith St., in East Norwalk. The office is at the same location as Norwalk's Wastewater Treatment Plant and the DPW garage.
