A record four senior girls from Norwalk River Rowing have signed National Letters of Intent to row in Division I college programs next fall.
Julia Barr from Norwalk has committed to attend Fordham University, both Amanda Jenkins and Kylie O'Conner from Wilton will attend Boston College, and Maggie Walsh from Trumbull will attend Northeastern University.
The training these young athletes received at Norwalk River Rowing during their high school career, as well as the friendship and camaraderie they developed as a team, enabled them to push each other to achieve high levels of accomplishment.

Maggie Walsh, who started rowing only a year ago, believes "Rowing has become such an enormous part of my life so quickly, and I am lucky to be able to continue with it at Northeastern,” Walsh says. “I will never forget Norwalk for the incredible foundation it has given me."
"These young women display exceptional dedication to what they do. They bring that attitude to practice every day," reports Catharine Labine, Norwalk River Rowing's girls coach. "They've set a new standard."
