On Saturday, September 15th, the Norwalk High Marching Bears won a decisive victory in their first competition of the 2012 season with a score of 84.2 - the highest "first competition" score in over 10 years!
Led by director Chris Rivera, the 146-member strong Marching Bears performed "Gypsy Caravan", which represents a tribe of Gypsies traveling throughout Europe and trying to entice people into joining their caravan.
With music arranged by Mr. Rivera and Dave Dumont and visual design by Charles Barrett, Gypsy Caravan includes a varied musical repertoire that ranges from traditional Bulgarian works to more contemporary concert band literature.
We invite the community to come out in support of the Norwalk High Marching Bears at any of their upcoming competitions.
