Ladies Honor Kathy McShane of Ladies Who Launch.

Kathy McShane, Managing Director of Ladies Who Launch/Southwestern CT, was honored at an event hosted by Westport psychotherapist, Dr. Annie Abram on July 18, 2012.  The event took place at Dr. Abram’s home.  Dr. Abram said, “As a Westport resident with a psychotherapy practice in Norwalk, I understand the need for women to believe they can achieve great things. Kathy spends her days working with women, helping them to launch or expand their business. Kathy’s story as a first generation immigrant who has accomplished more than she ever lets on, combined with her warmth, expertise, and experience in launching her own multi-million dollar business, is inspiring in and of itself. I felt that is was important for all of “her ladies” as Kathy refers to us who benefited from her help to show Kathy how much we appreciate what she does for us.”

Besides recognizing Ms. McShane, the women in attendance made a contribution to Ms. McShane’s favorite charity, Circle of Caring at Norwalk Hospital. This is a program that she developed with Amy Schafrann of Westport, the Founder of Circle of Caring.  Circle of Caring is a way for grateful patients to give back to the hospital. The funds raised by Circle of Caring are channeled back to the Hospital to help obtain State-of-the-Art Technology & Equipment, Medical Staff Training, Clinical Trials & Medical Research, Facility Enhancements, Spiritual Care & Integrative Medicine.  According to Ms. Schafrann, “over the last few years, grateful patients have contributed thousands of dollars to Circle of Caring.” Donations can be made on line at http://www.norwalkhealth.org.
