The Connecticut Department of Transportation advises a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 95 northbound in Norwalk beginning Wednesday night. The bridge maintenance work will be an asphalt plug joint repair on the Yankee Doodle bridge.
Motorists should expect lane closures to occur weekdays between exit 13 (Darien, Route 1) and exit 16 (Norwalk, East Avenue) beginning the night of Wednesday, May 23, to the morning of Wednesday, May 30. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. No work will be performed during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to drive at a safe speed when going through the work zone.
