Perfect Summer Weather, Bud & Bubbles, Register at NCC for Fall

Here's what to know and where to go in and around Norwalk for Tuesday, Aug. 20th, 2013:

• The National Weather Services has a gorgeous day on tap for Norwalk: Sunny, high of 86º, mostly clear, with a low around 63º. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph will become calm after midnight.  Congratulations to everyone who has the day off!
• Enjoy live music by Bud & Bubbles whose variety show will be performed outdoors on the newly renovated outdoor patio at Osteria Romana at 250 Westport Ave. Make a dinner reservation by calling (203) 229-0844.   Bud & Bubbles will perform a musical comedy revue at 8:00pm featuring a cast of characters who audition to perform on a fictitious cruise ship. 
• Back to school countdown: Just 9 days remain until school resumes. The first day for all students at Norwalk Public Schools is Thursday, Aug. 29th according to the 2013-14 calendar on the Norwalk Public Schools website. (A staggered entry for students begins Aug. 28th)
• Speaking of back to school, the Norwalk Community College Fall 2013 semester begins on September 4th, and now is the time to register for classes. NCC will hold a walk-in advising and registration session on Tuesday in the East Campus Atrium at 188 Richards Ave. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Contact the Dean of Students Office at (203) 857-7325 with questions.
