Woman Arrested After Threatening Father With Knife
Woman had protective order against her after earlier arrest for domestic violence
Norwalk Police arrested a local woman after she allegedly threatened her father with a knife on Wednesday.
Mary Fitzgerald, 34, of 23 Marlin Drive was arrested and charged with second-degree threatening and criminal violation of a protective order.
According to the police report, Fitzgerald woke her father up and went to his bedroom with a knife in her hand. The man shut and locked the door, then called the police.

Officers arriving on the scene could see Fitzgerald through a window eating and drinking as if nothing had happened. She didn't answer when they knocked on the door and according to the report, the officers then entered the house through a door that was unlocked.
During the investigation, Fitzgerald told police that her father had threatened her earlier in the day. Fitzgerald had been arrested several weeks ago for a domestive violence incident that did not involve her father. Following that incident, a protective order was place against Fitzgerald.

According to the report, Fitzgerald was processed at police headquarters then taken to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation.
