To Victorians the word "crazy" didn't just mean wild and unpredictable, it meant broken or 'crazed' into splinters. This is a good example of that. Some of these rich swatches of fabric measure less than half an inch wide. Although crazy style quilts may appear haphazard they were carefully planned.

An exciting part this project will be a new Norwalk quilt that will be created by people from throughout the community under the direction of Peace by Piece, Norwalk’s intergenerational quilt mentoring program. It will eventually be displayed at City Hall.

Terrific photos ... love the crazy quilt. Look foward to seeing the more than 100 quilts on display at our two Historical Societies, Lockwood-Mathews and other cultural sites around the city. We all have quilts -- some old, some new -- and I cherish the quilts that have been passed down through my family. Great memories!
