'So You Think You've Got Talent' Finale Comes to Norwalk Friday

The Grand Finale, featuring a $5,000 prize going home with the top winner, will take place at the Norwalk Concert Hall.

On Friday night, four Norwalk natives will be competing for your vote and the $5,000 grand prize at the "," show at the city's .

Chris Titus, from Norwalk, will be hosting the event through his production company, CA Titus Productions.

Titus touts the show as "'American Idol' plus 'So You Think You Can Dance' plus 'America’s Got Talent' equals Fairfield County’s biggest talent competition yet: 'So You Think You’ve Got Talent.'"

The June 8th contest will kick off at 7:30 p.m. If you would like to purchase tickets, you can visit the Triangle Community Center's website. Should any seats remain available, tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the event.

During the show, sponsored by Georgetown Subaru, 12 finalists slimmed down from a pool of 120 contestants will compete for the grand prize. Among the 12, four Norwalk natives and a Greenwich finalist will hit the stage.

From Norwalk, Charli D'Amelio, Victor Avellino, Moris Parker,  and Amanda Somma will be in the running. D'Amelio is an 8-year-old dancer. Avellino, a singer alongside his drummer,  Lauren Horbal. Parker, 20, specializes in dance as well. Somma is a 17-year-old high school junior who also dances.

"I am hoping that this show not only brings a high level of entertainment to the audience, but also gives the contestants the confidence and experience they need to help them succeed in the entertainment industry," said Titus, who hopes to expand the program in coming years.
