Pasquale Camerota, 84, Italian Army Soldier

Pasquale Camerota, 84, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012.

Pasquale Camerota, 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was the husband for 59 years of Rita Nardella Camerota. Pasquale was born on May 16, 1928 in Scauri, Italy, son of the late Vincenzo and Maria Grazia Tuccinardi Camerota and has lived in Norwalk for most of his life. 

He was a tailor for several years with Carlo Brothers in Greenwich and later worked for Pepperidge Farms. He was a member of the St. Ann Club, enjoyed fishing, cooking and bus trips to Mohegan Sun. Pasquale also served in the Italian Army prior to moving to the U.S.     

In addition to his wife Rita, Pasquale is survived by his four daughters, Maria Barry of Danbury, Fran Davis, Giovanna Cugno and Julie Camerota, all of Norwalk, his son-in-laws Leo Kevin Barry and Michael Davis, 11 grandchildren; Dan, Liz, Chris, Nick, Brian, Michael, Gina, Alex, Jack, Kaitlin and Melissa.  Also surviving are great grandchildren Caitlyn, D.J. and Ava and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 31, 10 AM at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.  Pasquale’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk today (Thurs.) from 5-8 PM.  Donations in his name may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice, P.O.
