Norwalk Woman Arrested For Reportedly Using Bat In Assault

Lashunda Jackson allegedly used baseball bat to assault victim.

Norwalk Police arrested a local woman pursuant to a warrant on Thursday for allegedly using a baseball during an assault on another woman.

According to Officer Carlton Giles of the Norwalk Police Department, Lashunda Jackson, 28, of 93 Richards Avenue, turned herself into police headquarters after an investigation of an incident on Nov. 30 found Jackson to be part of an assault on a 24-year old woman outside of her apartment complex on Ely Avenue.

Giles said the victim was on her way to picking up her child from the bus stop when she was allegedly jumped from behind by three people and was hit on the head with a baseball bat. She went to Norwalk Hospital for treatment and told officials that she did not want to elaborate on the incident.

After an investigation, police arrested Jackson and charged her with second-degree assault and breach of peace.
