Norwalk Police Taser And Arrest Bridgeport Man With Gun
A Bridgeport man flees after being tasered and drops his gun.
Norwalk Police arrested a man who allegedly punched another man then dropped his gun while fleeing officers.
Jory McNab, 23, of 82 Hazelwood Road in Bridgeport was charged with carrying firearm under the influence, interfering with an officer, and breach of peace. Bond was set at $15,000.
According to the police report, officers responded to a disturbance outside Rhythm Bar & Cafe at 741 West Avenue on Dec. 18. As officers were investigating an argument between two females, they noticed a man believed to be McNab, punch another man. Upon seeing the officers, McNab tried to flee the scene and was chased by the officers down Wall Street.

As police closed in on McNab, they warned him they would Taser him if he did not stop. McNab refused the officers order and was tased. According to the police report, McNab didn't appear to be effected by the Taser. As he continued to evade police, a gun fell from McNab's waistband. Police apprehended McNab a short time later. The gun in McNab's possession was a 9-mm Springfield Armoury XD-9. He did have a permit to carry the weapon. According to the police report, McNab appeared to be intoxicated.
Police also arrested Johnnie Slade, 25, of 921 Old Town Rd in Bridgeport. He was the McNabb allegedly punched and was cited for breach of peace. McNab and Slade are due in court on December 29.
