Man Charged With Marijuana Possession Should’ve Worn Seatbelt
A Norwalk man was arrested on drug possession charges after being picked up on a warrant for failure to respond after a motor vehicle infraction.
arrested Julius Pratt on a warrant for not responding to an infraction issued in August 2011 for not wearing a seatbelt while driving.
Pratt was seen walking on Monroe near Chestnut Street when an officer arrested him for the outstanding warrant. While being searched at headquarters, a bag of marijuana was found in his sweatshirt, according to police. Upon further investigation, a hole in the lining of Pratt’s sweatshirt held 21 more small bags of marijuana.
Pratt is charged with possession of marijuana, possession within 1500 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to sell and possession with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school zone.

His bond has been set at $10,000 and his court date is set for February 16.

Police arrested John Hines, 59, of 19 Golden Hill, Norwalk, on charges, including breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor.
On September 13, 2011 Hines was in a waiting room at where he exposed himself to others, according to police. Allegedly, Hines was staring at people in the waiting room, including a minor, and making lewd gestures.
Hines was arrested later on a warrant and bond has been set at $10,000.
