Five Things You Need to Know About Norwalk: August 4

Listen to the sounds of cool Jazz from John Cutrone and Friends, plus more.

  1. The Free continues tonight from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at SoNo Park 50 Washington Street with the funky Motown sounds of the Bernadettes (here are some videos). They will perform songs by Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Earth Wind and Fire plus many more. Get on up and move your feat to the beat!
  2. Sit on the deck over looking the water and swing to the sounds of cool Jazz from John Cutrone and Friends at this Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.
  3. Danny and the Dinosaur, is today's short film-of-the-week, from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the . After the film, children will make dinosaur skeletons out of macaroni. The event is free and registration is required.
  4. Take a cruise and enjoy a clambake on a remote island from 6 to 9 p.m. The Norwalk Seaport Association will ferry you and other passengers "to the historic 1868 Lighthouse for their famous . A true New England dining experience, the evening allows participants to dine in the festive tented pavilion on the lighthouse lawn, with tours of the lighthouse itself included in the cost. Round-trip cruise and dinner is either $58 or $78 per person, depending on entree. Advance registration only."
