Cheerleading Squad From Norwalk in World Competition
The Cheerleading & Dance Worlds Championship, which starts April 28, is considered the World Olympics of cheerleading and only the top cheerleaders in the world are accepted.
A squad of 23 cheerleaders from 's Team Xtreme Cheer will be competing starting today at the Cheerleading & Dance Worlds Championship in Florida.
According to a report on CTNow.com, the squad recently qualified for the Worlds, an international coed competition where 43 teams from roughly 15 different countries compete for top honors.
The competition, which started April 27, is considered the Olympics of cheerleading — only the top cheerleaders and aerial acrobats in the world are accepted, according to the report.
