Stamford Grocer, Fairway has announced it will again be the official sponsor of SPINODYSSEY, an event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research and promoting health and fitness. 

For the event, Fairway Market is contributing fresh food and organic produce as well as breakfast and a full lunch for participants.

Hundreds of local indoor cyclists, Zumba enthusiasts, tennis players, and other fitness fanatics will be working up a sweat at at Intensity in Norwalk to help raise funds for American Cancer Society breast cancer research and Norwalk Hospital’s Whittingham Cancer Center breast cancer research trials. 

Items Fairway will provide include muffins, yogurt, bagels, smoothies, wraps, salads, water, sandwiches, and lots of fresh fruit.

Offering even more support for the cause, Fairway Market is also running a “Receipts for Research” campaign and is asking  customers at its Stamford store to save their reciepts from purchases between February 1 and March 5 and bring or mail them into SPINODYSSEY and the grocer will donate 5 percent of the receipt to the American Cancer Society breast cancer research.
